About this activity

Cavod is a community theatre organization producing family-friendly and Christian entertainment, including Broadway-style musicals, live plays, dramas, and holiday shows. Each of our productions is appropriate for adults and children alike, making live theater an easy weekend excursion for families located in Lancaster, Reading, or Chester.

Cavod entertainers strive to create with purpose and bring performing arts back to our Creator, sharing His glory and splendor through artistic expression that connects with audience members of all ages. We believe that art is a powerful tool, and when used appropriately, it has the potential to impact the world positively.

As a non-profit organization, Cavod seeks to connect with individuals, organizations, foundations, and corporations who desire to make a difference in the world through the powerful mediums of performance and artistic expression.

Established in 2010 and located in Lancaster County, Cavod's wheelchair-accessible New Holland theater is conveniently situated a short drive from Berks and Chester counties.

Cavod welcomes skilled actors and musicians from the Lancaster area and surrounding communities to audition for roles in our theatrical productions. Unless otherwise specified at the time of announcement, Cavod auditions are open to all actors who fit the requirements of each show and/or character. Prior professional acting experience is not required. Audition information will appear on Cavod Theatre's website and social media pages throughout the year.

Please note that because Cavod is a non-profit community theatre, participation in shows is on a volunteer, unpaid basis. Non-performers who wish to be involved with productions may apply for a volunteer position on the Cavod Theatre Production Team.

Directions

Manheim:
1. Start on Fruitville Pike and go northeast for 4.8 miles (approx. 9 min).
2. Turn right onto W Millport Rd and proceed southeast for 2.4 miles (approx. 4 min).
3. Merge onto PA-722 E and follow for a portion of the route.
4. Continue on Quarry Rd for a stretch.
5. Follow PA-23 E/W Main St heading east for 11.4 miles (approx. 21 min) towards New Holland.
6. Turn into New Holland Shopping Center, and arrive at your destination, Cavod Performing Arts, 665 W Main St, New Holland, PA 17557.

Downtown Lancaster:
1. Begin northeast on PA-462 E/E King St/Lincoln Hwy E toward N Christian St and continue for 1.9 miles.
2. Turn left onto PA-340 E/Old Philadelphia Pike and drive for 1.7 miles.
3. Make a left turn onto Horseshoe Rd and continue for 4.7 miles.
4. Proceed onto Glenola Drive for 0.2 miles.
5. Turn right onto PA-23 E/E Main St and follow for 3.8 miles; AutoZone Auto Parts will be on the right after 3.2 miles.
6. Turn into New Holland Shopping Center and arrive at your destination, Cavod Performing Arts, 665 W Main St, New Holland, PA 17557.

Ephrata
1. Start southeast on US-322 E/W Main St toward S Church St, passing by Taco Bell on the left after 1.7 miles, for a total of 1.8 miles (approx. 9 min).
2. Continue straight onto US-322 E for another 2.0 miles.
3. Turn right onto Farmersville Rd and drive for 0.5 miles (approx. 52 sec).
4. Turn right to stay on Farmersville Rd/T779 and proceed for 0.3 miles.
5. Continue onto N Shirk Rd for 3.3 miles.
6. Turn left onto W Main St/New Holland Pike and go for 0.2 miles.
7. Turn left into New Holland Shopping Center, and arrive at your destination, Cavod Performing Arts, 665 W Main St, New Holland, PA 17557.

Adult seating ticket price.

Children

Children ages 4-18 sitting in their own seat must have a purchased ticket. They are eligible for the student ticket price! Children ages 3 and under who are sitting on a lap do not need their own ticket.
