What is there to do?

The American Pigeon Museum has spent the last 40 years collecting historically significant items from all around the world, to detail the lives of this very special bird.

Did you know that pigeons can fly home at an average of about 77mph, and even as fast as 92mph? There's your first fun fact for you!

This Oklahoma City museum might just let you see these misunderstood birds in a whole new light.

The museum details the relationship of the pigeon to man, from present day right back to even 2,000 years ago in Roman Times!

Kids can learn all about how the pigeon has become a reliable messenger, and helped send important messages through the world wars, that phones were unable to.

There are even hands-on experiences for kids across the year, so they can meet these beautiful birds up close and personal!

So get excited about this "common" bird, that has helped so many and even helped shape history!

You might just be amazed about what these feathered creatures can achieve!
