There's no place like home! There's no place like home! There's no place like the All Things Oz Museum in New York either!
This fun museum is the museum arm of the historical foundations of International L. Frank Baum as well as All Things Oz, and it was created to educate families just like you on the writings of the very talented L. Frank Baum. Don't know who he is? Well - he wrote The Wizard Of Oz!
The All Things Oz Museum let's you explore the life of L. Frank Baum - maybe you will be inspired to create your own masterpiece too when you leave! As you look at all the objects, it's great for the kids to use their imagination as to what the stories behind them might be. What tales they could tell!
Of course, you can't have a museum about the writer of The Wizard Of Oz, and not have anything on display from the films and merchandise that all were inspired by it. Have you seen that 1975 film "The Wiz"? Well, the glasses worn by "The Wiz" himself are on display, as are some rare items and artifacts.
All Things Oz Museum are also part of a number of events and festivals that occur across the year, so it's worth seeing what's on - like the Oz-Stravaganza - which is, yep, all things oz!
You never know - you might come away from the All Things Oz Museum feeling creative, and inspired, and whether you go home to watch that original 1939 classic, or start your own fantasy filled story of wonders and magic, at least you will have also had a fun family day out!
