About this activity
Tattershall Castle is a magnificent 15th century red brick castle, with huge Gothic fireplaces, winding staircases and amazing views of the Lincolnshire countryside.
The castle is one of the first of its kind in England with lots of history to uncover along the way. It has looming fireplaces and orante windows that allows you to journey through time by the windows as you follow the timelines of crests.
Patrol the battlements and walk along ang gaze at the spectacular views! It's well worth the climb! You'll find a variety of medieval-era games on some of the floors as you climb the spiral staircase to. Make sure you wander the ruins around th grounds too!
Spot the historical graffiti inside the castle, which winds up the staircase and into some of the corridors and rooms. Pick up a spotter leadlet from the parlour chamber which will give you a helping hand!
The castle hosts a number of events all year round, so make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening!

There is ramped access to visitor reception and the parlour chamber of the Great Tower. Please note that access upper floors is via a spiral staircase.
