Take a walk around Rodbaston Visitor Centre Animal Zone which is a licensed zoo and open to the public on weekends, half-terms and school holidays! There's a variety of animals to look at and learn more about. 

From meerkats to caiman and cockroaches, there's lots of interesting animals. There's exotic species and more domesticated species and there's a regular daily programme of keepers talks and animal encounters to really get up and personal with some of them! 

There's a range of animal encounters waiting for you. Get up close to the ring-tailed lemurs, meet the hungry meerkats and touch the scaly reptiles! They last for around 30 minute where you'll get to feed them and have a personal talk from the keeper so you can learn more about the animals. 

In total there are around 600 animals from over 140 species! They encourage the next generation of young people to care for the natural world too. They run special events throughout the year, including their Easter fun sessions! You'll get to see some baby animals like lambs and chicks too.
