Seeped with history, culture, museums and nature, Halifax - the capital city of Nova Scotia - is a fantastic place to spend with kids!
Want history? Take your pick! Explore what the soldiers of WWII went through on the HMCS Sackville, or go back to the days of the immigrants arrival at Pier 21.
Museums are around every corner with the very fun and exciting hands-on Discovery Centre where kids can experiment, explore and get creative, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic with a poignant Titanic exhibition (learn about the amazing connection Halifax has with the Titanic!) and Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. The art continues with fun creative ventures such as Clay Cafe - great for those little ones who want to get their hands messy and creative juices flowing!
Halifax is also a great place to explore nature, and places like Point Pleasant Park - the largest forested park on the peninsula. Run, hide, climb - you name it! It also has amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean (not bad!)
