At Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm, we're on a mission to bring joy through delightful alpaca encounters and cozy alpaca products! Families are warmly invited to visit, learn, and have fun at the farm. You can book your tickets in advance on our website or purchase PacaVisit Walk-In tickets upon arrival.

During our PacaVisits, you can unwind from the hustle and bustle and relax with our friendly alpacas on this self-guided tour. Spend a couple of hours or the whole day walking around, observing the alpacas, and absorbing the tranquility of the farm. Bring along your camera, binoculars, sketchbook, or even a picnic. Kids will have a blast with the yard games, coloring pages, sidewalk chalk, and a bubble machine available for their enjoyment.

For a more personalized experience, join our PacaTours. These private guided tours offer a chance for special memories as you get up close with the alpacas, feed them a treat, and maybe even touch their soft necks. There will be plenty of opportunities to capture these moments on camera. As you stroll the farm, you'll learn about alpacas, their care, and discover how we utilize their luxurious fleeces. You’ll also meet our hardworking livestock guardian dogs, playful goats, and friendly barn cats.

How does Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm support sustainability initiatives?

One of the great things you'll learn about alpacas is that they naturally have a very low environmental footprint. Just ask the staff while you're on the farm.

What activities can families enjoy at Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm?

Families can enjoy alpaca encounters, farm tours, and yard games. Kids will love the bubble machine and coloring pages available during their visit.

What facilities are available for families with babies?

We do not currently have a changing area inside our restroom, but we can provide a private space if needed.

What snacks and refreshments are available during a visit?

We have a few drinks and prepackaged ice cream available in the shop. If you book a PacaVisit or add one to your PacaTour, you will have access to our picnic area, where you're welcome to bring a lunch or snack.

What should visitors know before coming to the farm?

We always suggest wearing sturdy shoes because we have gravel pathways and uneven ground. This will ensure comfort and safety while exploring the farm.

What kind of souvenirs can visitors find at the farm?

We have a wonderful store filled with alpaca products for all ages and price ranges. We make as much as we possibly can to sell. We also consign for 6 other NC alpaca farms and 3 local artisans that make alpaca products. Lastly, we offer some Peruvian made alpaca products.

What educational resources are available for teachers and students?

We have informative signs throughout the farm that educate guests about alpacas. During PacaTours, guides provide detailed information and fascinating stories about the alpacas and farm life.

Are there any healthy eating options at the farm?

While options are limited, we encourage visitors to bring healthy snacks to enjoy in our picnic area. Fresh fruits and veggies make for a refreshing break during your visit.

What accessibility features are available for visitors with disabilities?

We are still working on our ADA access throughout the farm, so please be aware of doorways with ledges, loose gravel pathways, uneven ground, and possible noise congestion from fans in the summer. We do not allow any service animals on the property due to livestock guardian dogs.

What should visitors keep in mind for a smooth experience?

Bring sunscreen and hats for sunny days. Remember to pack a water bottle to stay hydrated while exploring the farm.
