Yellow River Game Ranch

Lilburn, GA

Where are we going?

Yellow River Game Ranch
4525 Stone Mountain Highway

770 972 6643

What is there to do?

With 24 lovely wooded acres for the animals to call home, Yellow River Game Ranch really lets kids and families have those magical, close encounters with a whole range of domestic and wild animals.

When you arrive, you can stroll along a one mile trail where you can encounter over 600 birds and animals, and you'll be happy to know they are all very sociable! All of the animals are indigenous to Georgia, so kids can even learn about the state during their experience here.

Animals range from the small bunnies, kid goats, sheep and birds, to the beautiful white-tailed deer, buffalo and black bears. But don't worry, they specialize in "people friendly" wildlife, so kids can get ready to feed, admire and pet the bevy of the very cute new borns!

Yellow River Game Ranch gives all members of the family to get a photo with the wildlife that they are meeting, on a personal basis.

The rustic trail is just waiting for you to go and meet those newborn fawns which will be there over the summer months. Bears will stand up for those special treats from the overhead catwalk, which gives kids a very special and unique view of these amazing creatures.

"Billy Goat Gruff Memorial Bridge" and the always popular "Bunny Burrows" are also fun parts of Yellow River Game Ranch, and they even have one of the largest herd of Buffalo east of the Mississippi - all roaming right at the back of the meadow!

So if you are an animal loving family, you might want to check out Yellow River Game Ranch and have a really amazing animal encounter!

Don't forget your camera, because there certainly will be LOTS of amazing photo opportunities!

I’m Hungry!

The animals certainly have lots to eat! Their food can be picked up from the gift shop, or you can bring your own food for the animals. They love carrots, apples, celery, peanuts...and the kids can be having a nibble long the way then too!
