    I bought the Groupon in the spring of 2012. The only thing that prevented me from asking for a refund was that my daughter was enrolled in the 8-week skating class with the Groupon. It was the most disorganized “class” my 10-year-old daughter has ever participated in: they never had her name tag and no one ever knew where she should go. We typically spent 10-ish minutes of every lesson trying to find SOMEONE who could tell us where she needed to be. Additionally, my daughter was placed with children much younger than her for the entire 8-weeks. She was a beginner with some experience (ability to balance and skate forward on her own effectively) but because of her age, she was able to progress much faster than the kindy-aged kids she was placed with. Instead of progressing her more quickly, she spent her lessons working on her own because she mastered the skill on her first attempt and then she was on her own while the smaller, less-abled children required more assistance with new skills. Overall…the only thing the Groupon was good for was the rink time for 8 weeks.

    Was a great experience.. i love ice skating, but they could try and mend the rented skates a bit

    As someone that coordinates many events for a major company in Wichita it is amazing how one person’s terrible attitude can ruin an event. I recently had an event there and was extremely disappointed at the customer service the head of the event staff provided. There are a ton of things that you can do in and around Wichita and it is too bad that coming back to the Ice Center will not one of them. That is literally thousands of dollars the Ice Center will loss out on. It just goes to show you, that poor customer service really can hurt. Besides every person that reads this review, I will make a point of mentioning this experience to anyone that will listen. Due to her terrible attitude and unwillingness to be flexible, she turned what was otherwise a fun activity into that last activity we will be holding there. Event customers… beware!
