Located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts is the mid-states premier center for arts, education, entertainment and cultural enrichment.
Composed of three main venues — Sunoco Performance Theater, Select Medical IMAX® Theater, and Harsco Science Center, it’s where the family cane enjoy cinema, science and shows!
The events at the Whitaker Center are always changing, and run for a limited time so make sure you get in there before your favorites move on!
It’s a great learning experience for the kids, with films on engineering, science, prehistoric Earth, the Universe, dinosaurs, and even music concerts too!
Some of the programs even come in 3D so kids can have that extra immersive experience! If that wasn’t enough, you can enjoy camps, Girl Scout workshops, STEM programs for girls, programs for the little ones and parent-kid adventures in STEM workshops too!
Little Learners is a great program held weekly in spring for those kids under 5 years, where they can create a science or art project to take home!
It’s all totally indoors, so those wet weather days have suddenly become a whole lot more fun and exciting in Pennsylvania!
So what are you waiting for kids? It’s fun AND learning all in one day – parents, it can’t get much better than that!
