About This Is The Place Heritage Park

Ready to actually feel like you have traveled back in time? Great, because we're off to This Is The Place Heritage Park in Utah where you'll find family fun (and history) iall year round!

During your visit yo This Is The Place Heritage Park, you can step back in time to see the West just as it was during the early settlement of Utah. How cool is that!?

There are so many fun things for the family to enjoy! You can ride one of their three trains that will take you around the park, or around the pond on the Mini Train.

Animal lovers can enjoy riding ponies, or meeting and petting adorable farm animals! You can even try your skill at milking Clara Bell the Cow.

Treasure seekers young and old will love the interactive Treasure House, which tells the story of mining in Utah through hands-on experiences. The family can dig for gemstones in Prospectors Pit, or pan for gold in the creek under the big ol' oaks.

To keep those minds busy, you can even choose a giant geode and help break it in their fun Geode Cracker! It's all a fun way to teach kids the role that mining played in the settlement of the West.

Don't miss a chance to "Set sail" on the Ship Brooklyn, which is a one-sixth replica of the original telling the pioneers story of their expedition as they sailed from New York Harbor covering 24,000 miles in search of a new home in the West.

Also at This Is The Place Heritage Park you can visit the Native American Village, celebrating heritage before the arrival of the settlers.

Plenty of interactive fun as you see a blacksmith, tinsmith, and saddle maker at work, and you can also have a go at some old-fashioned pioneer chores.

All of the 50 plus buildings you will see at the park were either re-located from their original site, or reconstructed and placed. The Village as you see it today, represents an early settlement in the Utah territory.

What's also great is that your admission gets you all the activities (plus unlimited train rides!) at no additional cost!
