Join LA Ghosts on a thrilling ghost tour, and uncover the sinister secrets behind the glitz and glamor of the Hollywood film industry!

The Haunted Secrets of Hollywood Await!

Family Days Out LOVE a good ghost tour, and LA Ghosts didn't disappoint when we recently visited the City of Angels and spent an hour with tour guide Shane to hear spooky stories behind the glitz and glamour of Tinsel Town.

Meeting outside the iconic El Capitan Theatre, we met our LA Ghosts guide for the evening - Shane - who was awaiting our arrival, lamp in hand.  Straight away, we could tell Shane LOVED what he did. We were straight into conversation about Hollywood, history, and paranormal sightings. We knew we were in for a treat!

The Stories

Don't worry, we won't give away any spoilers in this blog, you'll need to book your own ghost adventure for the details :)

BUT... we WILL tell you that we started our tour in El Capitan Theatre, and not only did we hear the history of the theatre, BUT all the spooky happenings that people have experienced in there.

As we listened to the stories, you can't help but take in the bright lights of Hollywood all around you. How many people have walked these streets, and visited this very theatre? How many people have their own stories of spending time in this Hollywood landmark?

Hands In The Clay

We then made our way to THE iconic landmark of Hollywood Boulevard.... TCL Chinese Theatre.  You will have all seen photos of this incredibly special place, where you yourselves can put your hands and feet in the very spots Hollywood legends have done so before you.

BUT... did you know that it's not just the Hollywood legends that left their energy in this popular tourist destination?

Want to know who else can be spotted here? Well, you better book a tour with US Ghost Adventures to find out!

US Ghost Adventures FAQ!

Have questions about US Ghost Adventures or the LA Ghosts tour? See if you can spot the answer below!

US Ghost Adventures operate ALL over the USA! Chances are they will operate in your state, so check out their website and search for your city, and see what you can enjoy there!

YES! US Ghost Adventures offer three overnight stays - the Welty House, the Villisca Axe Murder House, and the infamous Lizzy Borden House.

(If you don't want to stay overnight, you can also book just a tour or visit)

Depending on the age and maturity of your children, definitely use your own discretion as to what is suitable for them.

Usually on the ghost tours, it's about an hour of low impact walking, but be sure to check the details of the tour you're interested in to make sure it's for you!

The LA Ghosts Tour we went on was a family tour! But if you have questions about a specific tour or experience, just be sure to contact them to ask!

Roosevelt

You will know the name, and Roosevelt is not only the surname of not one, but TWO of the USA's former Presidents, but it's also the name of a VERY haunted hotel in the City of Angels.... yes, we're talking about The Roosevelt Hotel! Obviously :)

The Roosevelt Hotel has seen Hollywood royalty pass through its halls... everyone from Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, Ernest Hemingway and Marilyn Monroe have called this hotel home.

This was a beautiful building to stand across from, just taking in the facade and architecture as the city passed us by.

Shane, always attentive, continued his wonderfully recounted tales from the spooky happenings that have occurred.  We asked questions, he was wonderful in sharing his knowledge in this city he now lives in.

Onto the next stop! With about a mile in total of walking, (but very easy, pleasant walking), we were keen to keep hearing more!

Magic!

You may have heard of The Magic Castle in LA. Mysterious, invitation only, and incredibly creative and enchanting, The Magic Castle is even a bucket list destination for most LA locals.

Standing opposite the beautifully lit structure against the darkness of the wooded area behind, it really is a sight to behold.

BUT.... did you know there were also some very spooky sights experienced indoors?

Again, our lips are sealed on the details, but it was an amazing time just standing in the LA moonlight, listening to Shane and excited about our next stop!

VIP Ticket

As we started to head back down to our starting point, Shane offered a quick stop at the Hollywood VIP Hotel. To be honest, this building felt eerie even just walking up to it. Some of the rooms dimly lit, some black, this working hotel just had an air to it that I can't explain.

Shane tried though!

It's amazing to think just walking around LA, how many buildings have incredible stories of yesteryear - good.... and bad.

Luckily for you, US Ghost Adventures can fill you in on the bad!

The End

Sadly, our time with US Ghost Adventures and Shane, guide on our LA Ghosts tour was coming to and end. But not before stopping at an incredibly beautiful abandoned building in the heart of LA.

What is their story? Why is no-one there anymore? Why won't people visit the upper floors.....?

BOO!

But as we arrived back at our starting point, we recounted our favorite stories with Shane, talked about our own experiences, and talked about the other tours that US Ghost Adventures offer, nationwide.

And, with some overnight stays, it's safe to say that Family Days Out will be joining them on future tours for sure! Really excited to check out the Lizzie Borden House , for one !!

We loved every minute and hope you do too! To find out more, check out www.usghostadventures.com

Happy Ghost Hunting!
