Snow Mountain Ranch is the perfect experience for anyone in the family, whether you have been riding for years, or about to get on a horse for the first time. The guides are with you the whole way, they pair you up to the horse that suits you the best, and you will never go faster than a walk. Sounds perfect!

The 1 or 2 hour rides are perfect for the younger kids, as you get to meander through meadows and forests, ride by beaver ponds, check out creeks and even see the Continental Divide! The two hour ride takes on steeper slopes and higher viewpoints, so those experienced riders can get a challenge too.

If you want to really immerse yourself in the ways of the Old West, kids over 8 years can enjoy 3 or 4 hour rides, where you go deeper into the unsettled property.

Feeling peckish? Snow Mountain Ranch also offer breakfast rides where you can enjoy a fully cooked chuckwagon breakfast, or watch the sunset with the dinner ride where steaks, ranch beans, potatoes and all things cowboy can be enjoyed!

Directions

If you type the mountain address into a GPS, Google Maps, etc, you end up on the other side of the county, or sometimes south in Pueblo. They are working with Google to resolve this!

To get there, go WEST on Hwy 40 from Winter Park. Go through the towns of Fraser and Tabernash. About 4 miles past Tabernash turn LEFT onto County Road 53. There is a large blue and white sign that says “Snow Mountain Ranch.” Go past the Therapeutic Riding Center. At the 4-way stop, go straight, following signs to “Horse Stables”. At the fork in the road, turn RIGHT - they are the second set of buildings on your left. You will see, hear, and smell horses!
