You know what is better than a family aquarium that you can explore with the family? An aquarium that is FREE to explore!
The Roundhouse Aquarium in California is run by suggested donation only, so you can take the family to learn about all the creatures of the ocean, no matter what your budget!
Located at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier, they are ALL about education and fun, with viewing and touch tanks, offering an incredible selected of marine fish and invertebrates of all shapes and sizes.
You don't have to go under the water to explore the amazing life that lives in our oceans!
Kids will be in their element, as the Roundhouse Aquarium also has a kids area filled with books and puzzles that will only enhance their educational experience.
Don't miss on Saturdays the feeding frenzy, where all visitors can watch the sharks being fed in their very own tank. It's certainly not something you see everyday!
Roundhouse Aquarium also offer great additional experiences, such as the Sea Story Time on Sundays, where the kids can all sit together and hear an ocean story, and get creative with crafts!
They occasionally hold a run fun too, and with birthday parties too, let's all go and explore the amazing underwater world with Roundhouse Aquarium!

They are located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier. Take Manhattan Beach Blvd west until it ends. There is metered parking near the pier for $1.25/hr. Head out to the end of the pier to the Roundhouse.

Roundhouse Aquarium FAQ’s
There are a host of places to eat in the local area, so why not grab something before or after! There isn't anywhere to pick up food within the aquarium
You can volunteer as part of the summer camps, or at the roundhouse itself to get involved with the running of it all!
They do not have a gift shop on site, however items may be purchased through their online store
They offer educational programs for Pre-K through college, with a variety of programs to fit your needs. They offer both on-site field trips and outreaches to your school. They may have grant funding to cover the cost, so ask when you call! A great day out for kids
Speak to staff on arrival about any accessibility or assistance needs you may have!
They have great birthday parties for kids over 3 years, as well as summer camps too!
