We loved our experience here! Everything from the Pullman car which is perfectly restored to the house, garden, and farm. We felt we learned a lot and it was an educational trip for our 11 year old daughter. I HIGHLY recommend going to see this unexpectedly well done museum and beautiful property.

I had the honor of getting married at Hildene and it was obviously the best day ever! Gorgous gardens with 10,000 peonies in bloom in the midsts of the Manchester, Vermont mountains it was a scene right out of a postcard. 3 years later our guests are still marveling at the scenery and the day was beyond my wildest dreams. Sheila and the Hildene team went above and beyond to accommodate our family and getting ready for my wedding in a Lincoln powder room was so cool! A+ for wedding venue! The historical aspect goes without saying – stop by the gift store and take a tour while you are there!

We visited Hildene on 3/7/12. The staff in the Visitors’ Center was cheery and helpful. Stephanie gave us a most comprehensive tour of the Sunbeam Pullman car, a “must see.” As well, Gary, in the Lincoln home, welcomed us warmly, and was replete with information, and observations and opinions, both big and small, about both the family and home. To top it off, we ended with a private tour of the goat farm. The hours we spent there were so pleasant and informative.

We have never been to a non-profit organization where the staff is as rude as they are at Hildene. The first time we visited, we thought it was a just a bad day for the man who stomped across the sweeping lawn (a very long distance) to demand that we get off of it, but our second visit was equally as sour as a female staff member raced up to us as we got out of our car, questioning whether we had paid our $16.00/person to be on the premises. We will not return again.

Trotzdem alles sehr sehenswert
