Travel back through time at the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum, filled with exhibits and memories to reminisce about and learn from! During your time at this charming museum, there is so much to learn from and explore, from historic artifacts, to sands of the world!
The Sands of the World allows you explore just that - sands from all around the world, so you can compare beach life in Russia, Iceland, Hawaii, Australia and many other exotic locations! (Which one would you prefer to visit, kids?)
The Surf's Up exhibit showcases the history of surfing, and how it's changed over the years - from the sport, to the fashions and even the perception of surfers themselves.
The Wreck in the Offing exhibit depicts the history of the US Life-Saving Service on the East Shore of Maryland, as well as Delaware and Virginia from 1878 to 1914, and even features one of the finest Life-Saving Service collections in the county!
You can see a rare apparatus cart, as well as surf boat and life-car, bringing to life the history for all who visit!
Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum also features special exhibits too, as well as events and programs which are great for the family, including Little Learner programs and FREE summer programs!
Did we mention that there was also an aquarium with daily feedings?
A day of history, exploration and wildlife at this fun Maryland museum!
The Museum is at the very foot of the famous Ocean City Boardwalk, overlooking the famous Inlet and Assateague Island.
With a large municipal parking lot next door, there's plenty of parking for your trip to the Museum and the Boardwalk rides.
When arriving in Ocean City on Route 50, turn right after you cross the drawbridge and follow Philadelphia to the end, where it loops to the left to a T at Trimper's Amusement Park. Turn right and follow South Baltimore around the last curve to the inlet parking lot. You have just driven around us! We're the tall clapboarded building on the left as you enter the Hugh Cropper Parking Lot.
