About this activity

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium has over 2,400 animals and 450 species on display for you to enjoy and learn about!

There are 4 main exhibits that will fascinate - the Ocean Explorer, Journey to South American, Discover Utah and the chilly Antarctic Adventure!

Journey under the ocean with Ocean Explorer, featuring weird and wonderful saltwater species from all over the world! Sea jellies, slippery and often menacing looking eels, the sweet little seahorses and over 7 species of sharks!  Have the sharks and rays swim overhead in their 40 foot shark tunnel - they will be swimming just inches away from you! There are green sea turtles, and a coral reef exhibit where you can look at one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world! Did you know some of the reefs we know today started growing 50 million years ago!  They would have a lot of birthdays to celebrate...!

Journey To South America takes you through the lush and enchanting rain forests of the continent, with piranha's, electric eels, tree from and alligators! You can even enjoy the colorful beaked Toucans, and some very glowing frogs!

Discover Utah showcases some of the threatened species of the state, and families can learn about the importance of preserving and protecting the waterways - and see some of the species such as the June Suckers.

Brrr...did someone turn the heating off!  Either that or you are in the Antarctic Adventure exhibit where you can journey through the Falkland Islands and meet some friendly penguins! There is even a 45 minute penguin encounter designed for families just like you to get up close to one of the penguins from the exhibit!  Go behind the scenes and understand the penguin biology and conservation.

Every Thursday - Tuesday at 2:30pm you can even feed the stingrays - where do you think their mouths would be?!

To top it all off, you can even celebrate your birthday party at the aquarium!  You could have a splashingly good time!
