About this activity

Lake Anna State Park has 2,300 acres (that's a lot!), including 10 miles of shoreline, for the whole family to enjoy!

So what shall you do today then?  Hmm....how about taking a boat out onto the lake for a relaxing trip on the water?  Maybe you'll see some birds flying overhead with their own families! Or perhaps you would like to relax with a fishing rod, and enjoy some fishing?  Always a great opportunity to update your family on the latest jokes you heard, and stories from school!

if you wanted to join the fish, you can enjoy some swimming as well as the park's sandy beaches, or you can enjoy one of the 11 trails where you can run, hike, horseback ride or take to the two wheeled kind!

During summer, kids can get back to the roots of the Gold Rush days and pan for gold - do you think you might find some?  Rangers can also take you into a real gold mine!  The Goodwin Gold Mine flourish on the park many many years ago - can you imagine all the hustle and bustle that would have happened there back in the day?

They also offer seasonal interpretive programs and self-guided hikes, or you can bring some food and enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch whilst taking in the beautiful view of nature!  Mmmm...breathe that in...what fresh air!

Back out on the lake there is a boat-launching ramp, and you can also rent a number of fun water activities such as jet skiing, pontoon boats and smaller watercraft.

Have fun in nature!
