Nearly 3000 acres of scenic and disparate landscape to explore, including 221 acres of water for boaters, canoeists and anglers. There’s a large adventure playground with equipment for all ages, plus rather unusually they allow scuba diving in the lake too.
Over 100 species of bird have been spotted in the park, so for those never happier than behind binocolars or sporting a bug net this is a paradise! Bigger wildlife to spot here include white-tailed deer, squirrel, raccoon, cottontail rabbit, muskrat, mink and ground squirrels.
In winter one may try cross-country skiing, sledding, ice fishing and ice skating.
