For a family day out with a difference, a visit to Henry's Ark should be on the cards.
What has been an animal sanctuary for over 25 years is now a place that families can visit to see some pretty incredible animals. You can no longer feed them, but kids all the same will love to see emus, water buffalo, doe, llamas and bison roam free all around them.
Henry Wallace began adopting animals from the Kentucky Humane Society, leading him to look after more than just dogs and cats. Throughout the years, animals that couldn't find a home, found a home at Henry's Ark - which we love!
Today, there are 25 acres filled with adorable creatures who love to have visitors. It's a quiet, peaceful refuge for animals who desperately needed a home, and kids will love hearing their stories, and learning how important it is to look after animals.
It's a place that kids will visit and then bring their kids to, telling stories of their first memories at this charming Kentucky farm.
So why not give the kids a wild day out with a difference, and enjoy spending time with some of the most adorable animals you will meet!
