About this activity

The pride and joy of Henderson Beach State Park is the pristine white sugar sand beaches. There is over 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline that border the stunning emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Sun, sand, sea. That's Henderson Beach State Park!

This popular Florida family destination is also home to a host of natural features, including sand pines, scrub oaks and dune rosemary. For those wanting to cool down, boardwalks are provided to allow access to the beach for swimming, sunbathing and even fishing!

Destin is a hugely popular fishing destination, where you can try your luck on species such as pompano, red rish, catfish, flounder and even whiting.

You can spend the day enjoying a picnic lunch with the grills and picnic areas. Kids can then play in the fun playground too, before hitting the nature trails!

With such stunning beauty at Henderson Beach, it seems a shame to not explore it! The nature trail provides visitors a rare glimpse of the coastal dune ecosystem and abundant wildlife, AND it's pet friendly. Pretty cool!

Feeling like you want to extend your family day out? Camping at Henderson Beach State Park offers 60 campsites that are located in their secondary dune system. The sites include water and electric hookups and access to air conditioned and heated bathhouse facilities.

So why not head out and enjoy truly breathtaking sunsets while relaxing by the warm crystal clear water of the Gulf of Mexico, there is a patch of sparkling white beach with YOUR name on it!
