good fun must see if out on point
Awesome experience! Cool little museum and attractions on the 2nd and 3rd floors. You can even climb to the top of the lighthouse tower to see a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan, Beaver Island, the Manitou Islands, South Island, North Island, and Little Traverse Bay. Well worth the trip and price of admission to the park.
Gorgeous view, friendly park rangers
Great view of the bays.
My husband and I (both in our mid-twenties) were lucky enough to be able to participate in the keeper program in early August. What an amazing experience! The romance of Michigan’s past really does come alive at this place. We did odds and ends around the grounds throughout the day and were able to explore the area in the early evening. The Keeper program allowed for the perfect balance of work and play. It is also an easy drive to Traverse. We will be back. The other Keepers were great. Super friendly and easy to get to know. Although I do think the place might be haunted…We heard something at night:) Tip- Ask the locals for the best beaches.
