Franklin Falls Dam is a super fun place for the family to visit - especially if you LOVE outdoors adventure!

The area is 15 mile stretch of the Pemigewasset River, which actually flows through an area very popular for fishing. Which is great news for you!

The reservoir is a popular place for tourists and families to visit, as there are a host of fun activities for you to all do!  If it's water fun you love (and we hope you do!) then there is always boating. Canoes and kayaks are a great way to explore the banks, and a great way to try and spot some very cool wildlife.

There is even a boat ramp where you can launch your own boats. 

Sticking to the water - fishing is great for all ages! There are a number of areas within Franklin Falls Dam where you can fish which are nestled in the 3,900 acres of wooded valley. A beautiful spot!

From smallmouth bass, brown trout, brook trout, and largemouth bass, you can try and catch a number of species that all call the reservoir home. 

From rods to wheels, biking is a very popular activity that you can enjy, as there are a number of trails designed just for bike riders like you! If you'd rather stay on your feet, then you have thousands of acres of explore on the hiking trails!

The lush valley really gives you a chance to see all the wildlife in the area, as it's a perfect home for them. The most popular trail is the Piney Point Nature Trail, which is 1.8 miles long and has a number of points of interest along the way. 

From historic sites, to horseback riding, and those winter sports of snowmobiles and cross country skiing, there certainly isn't anything stopping you not heading out to Franklin Falls Dam!

There are plenty of spaces for you to enjoy your lovely packed lunch picnic!

Anyone over 16 years must have a current fishing licence

Make sure you take healthy foods and water so you can keep your energy up!

Any boats with a 25+ horse powered engine must have a driver with a New Hampshire Boating Certificate
