About Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo

We just LOVE zoos, but we love them even more when they are SO much more than all the adorable animals - and that's exactly what Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is!

Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is, of course, a zoo, which means there are a host of weird and wonderful animals from all over the world, ready to say hello. It's the perfect place for kids to learn all about their habits, and habitats, and to see these great creatures close up.

Kids can visit Monkey Island, where those cheeky capuchin monkeys are ready to entertain. Don't forget to stop at Sea Lion Beach where you can enjoy some fun feeding demonstrations daily!

From there, you'll be able to hear the excited penguins chatting to each other. The Central Zoo has a host of great creatures, from lemurs, to river otters, and red pandas - and so much more!

But kids, did you want to actually TOUCH the animals? Well, you can when you head to the Indiana Family Farm! There, the family can meet a cow, pump water from the well, and even brush a goat!

We did, however, tell you that Fort Wayne Children's Zoo was SO much more than a zoo, and it is! That's because you can jump on your very own pony at Little Poof, and enjoy a fun pony ride, or jump aboard the 1860's miniature train that is ready to take you for a ride!

Don't forget about the carousel either!

You can travel down the Safari Trail and explore the amazing creatures of Africa, from the zebras, wildebeest, and of course the lion, or you can experience the jungle as you trek through the Indonesian Rainforest!

It really is a zoo geared towards kids, so head on down and have a family fun day where the animal world comes to you. It's a jungle IN there!
