The Fillmore & Western historic trains can be found in the equally as historic Fillmore, and offer the family super fun excursions in dining cars from the 1930s and 1940s. You're riding IN history!
Step back in time, and experience a unique way to spend the day. The area surrounding the Fillmore & Western are enriched in local farming history, and agricultural treasures. There are incredible century-old citrus and avocado orchards which you will see all along the train route too!
The many locomotives used to actually power the train all date pre-1950s, yet have been restored to give you a modern version of a vintage experience!
The scenic trips really are scenic too! You can visit Mt. San Cayetano, as well as the Topa Topa Mountains, and even the Los Padros National Forest. It's the home of the California Condor, so keep an eye out!
The nature, history and small town atmosphere have all been preserved and nurtured, so those families who want to truly step back in time....can!
The Fillmore & Western also hold special event train rides, including a Mexican Sunset Steam Dinner trip, and a Travel Through Time fest, so there are plenty of options for you to choose from!

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at FIllmore and Western Railway?
Some of the train rides include meals, and vegetarian meals can be made available. No outside food or drink on the trains
Any top tips when visiting?
They have paintball train rides which are always popular, as well as murder mystery rides too!
Does FIllmore and Western Railway have a gift shop?
Can can you have a birthday party on the train? You sure can! Check out the options and celebrate in style!

They have great field trip options so give them a call and check them out! Students only $8 per person
Is FIllmore and Western Railway fully accessible?
They have handicap accommodations. The trains can't actually hold wheelchairs as they are historic, but if you can board the train with help and the wheelchair is collapsable, you will be okay
