About Escatawpa Hollow Campground

Escatawpa Hollow Campground might be difficult to pronounce, but it's certainly not hard to have a great time there with the family!

Located on the Alabama / Mississippi state line, Escatawpa Hollow Campground is RIGHT on the Escatawpa River, which has amazing sandy beaches and amazing amber colored water! How amazing is that!

If you want nature, you certainly get it here!

The river itself is a highlight, and is perfect for fishing as it's mainly shallow but with deep holes.

If you're staying at the campground, you have the pleasure of using their sandbar to relax on! Active families will love the walking trails all through the wooded areas nearby, and occasionally you might come across a little surprise like bridges over creeks.

You might even come across a tree house in the woods for those curious kids to play in!

Take adventure of the location and get out an explore the river during your stay! You have to reserve but Escatawpa Hollow Campground offer 15 mile trips, as well as 22 mile overnight trips. An amazing experience!

You are staying in a campground after all, so let's tell you about the RV and tent sites! The sites have plenty of room, with 30/20 amp hook ups and pull thru sites. There are a few sites with 50/30 amp. Picnic tables are found at every site, and BBQ grills are found at some.

If you prefer the simpler camping style, there are a few tent sites along the river - some even have porch swings! 

Just want to spend the day in the area? Just head down for the day to picnic, swim and fish!

Doing our bit

They want to make an amazing place for families, and offer canoe rentals and kayak rentals as well as the tours!

What is there to do?

Swimming, camping, fishing, boating, hiking, kayaking....all things nature at this Alabama campground!

Any top tips when visiting?

If you want to head for the day, its $5 for those over 12 hers, and $4 for those under 12. You can visit between 9am and 6pm.

How are the facilities at the attraction?

The Campground has nice clean restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets.

The spacious RV sites have water, 30/20 amp hook-ups, and pull-thru sites. A few sites are available with on site sewer and 50/30 amp service.

Primitive tent sites are located along the river.

The prices for RV sites are for 4 people, and tent sites are minimum for 1 person. There is an extra cost for additional people.
