About this activity
El Captain Theatre in Hollywood is your spot to watch Disney films! It screens old and new classics, as well as first-run movies from Disney, Pixare, Marvel and Lucasfilm for the whole family to enjoy.
The theatre showcases popular movies on most days, but remember to check the website and book your tickets ahead as it's a very popular cinema! You'll find films such as The Lion King, Moana, Lilo & Stitch, Cinderella, Finding Nemo and so many more, so you'll bound to have your favourite one showing at some point in the year.
You'll also find a spectacular organ here too, which has four keyboards and 37 ranks of pipes which represent different musical instruments! It was once formant, but has come to life again, performing for new audiences and hundreds of thousands of people. It's a must see!
The tickets can be pricier than your usual cinema, but you'll see the organ be played before the show too which is an experience you won't forget!
If you wanted an extra special experience then they also run tours too where you'll get to go backstage behind the curtains and get up close to the organ too.

Coming from the North (San Fernando Valley)
Exit the southbound 101 Freeway at Highland Avenue (Hollywood Bowl Exit). Continue south on Highland Avenue to Johnny Grant Way. Turn right at Johnny Grant Way and proceed into the underground parking structure, just south of the Loews Hollywood Hotel.

Popular movie theatre snacks and drinks available
The El Capitan Theatre offers accessible seating (as well as Companion Seating) on our Orchestra Level. There is no elevator at the El Capitan Theatre for Balcony Level Seating; this is only accessible via stairs. If you need accessible seating, please purchase Orchestra Level seats and see a theatre manager when you arrive at the theatre.
