About Cosley Zoo

We LOVE a zoo, and Cosley Zoo is no different! Stretched out over five acres, this zoo gives kids an experience with a whole range of animals - from the native Illinois wildlife to domestic farm animals.

Sweet woolly llamas and bleating goats are waiting to make friends at the farm section, but then kids can explore the more unusual and fascinating animals that are actually local to the state! (You don't need a zoo that brings you Africa when you have so many amazing animals right on your doorstep!)

Kids will enjoy watching the curious red fox, the sweet White-tailed Deer, playful racoons, and of course those creepy crawlies such as insects, turtles, snakes and frogs!

There are over 20 exhibits which house more than 150 animals across more than 60 species - so plenty for the kids to learn about! Cosley Zoo have made sure that every exhibit offer kids the chance to really learn about the animals, and to interact with nature.

What's also lovely about Cosley Zoo is that they put on fun events across the year, so make sure you check what's on so you don't miss out! (Especially if there is something seasonal happening!)

Want to celebrate your birthday with the animals? Why not! Cosley Zoo are happy for kids to have their birthdays and they have a TON of themes to pick from! Want to stay OVERNIGHT in the zoo? Or become a zoo keeper for the day? Check out their fun family programs - it will give kids a whole new perspective on the zoo!

So much zoo fun!
