The Church History Museum features a number of permanent and changing exhibits that tell the story of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Museums such as these are really wonderful for all families to visit - whatever background or religion - because knowledge of other religions is a beautiful thing to have, so we highly recommend a visit here on your next family day out to Salt Lake City!
The Church History Museum collects and displays Latter-day Saint art and artifacts worldwide in a way that offers an educational experience for the whole family.
You might want to learn about the Mormon Trails from 1846 - 1890, and discover the path that the Pioneers took. What did they experience? How did they feel?
Another exhibit details the former Presidents of the Church. Who were these men and what were their roles? There's an exhibit on the early history of the church itself, as well as a great exhibit on how Utah women won their right to vote!
Then, you have the rotating exhibitions to look forward to! These exhibitions are really worth stopping back on another visit for. It might be visual works of a particular artist, or art spaces just for kids. It might even be a celebration of an anniversary - of a particular church, or building, or event

The museum is in downtown Salt Lake City, directly west of Temple Square and north of the Family History Library.
City Creek Center parking is recommended for most museum patrons. It is located one block southeast of the museum and is free for the first 2 hours
