About this activity

Turn off those television and computers because there is a WHOLE great outdoors just waiting to be explored in Ely, Nevada!

Cave Lake State Park is 32 acres of reservoir fun, perfect for that adventurous family! There are a host of fun activities that the family can enjoy together, so what are you waiting for!

It's called Cave Lake State Park for a very good reason - and that's the very clear blue lake just waiting to be enjoyed. Grab the boat and spend the day out on the water, or grab those rods and spend some time trout fishing together.

For those who prefer the land, there is plenty for you too! Camping is a great way to extend that family day out, so there's more time to get out hiking and picnicking.

Cave Lake State Park is actually 4,500 acres situated 7,300ft above sea level, so there is plenty to explore!

Think park fun is seasonal? Think again! There are a ton of winter activities that you can enjoy, from cross-country skiing, to ice fishing and ice skating. Did you ever think Snow sculpting would be a popular pastime in Nevada? It is here! Don't miss the White pine Fire & Ice Show as it's one of the premier winter events within the park!

So grab those walking shoes and those fishing rods, and enjoy what Mother Nature has created (and it's pretty spectacular!)

Have fun kids!
