Are you ready to experience the magic of Montana? There's certainly a great chance you'll find it at Bitterroot National Forest! This National Forest has a whopping 1.6 million acres of forest in southwest Montana, all ready for families just like yours to play in!

Summer or winter - there is something for everyone at the Bitterroot National Forest! In winter, you can experience the thrill of the snow, with snowmobiling, downhill skiing and that lovely solitude of cross-country skiing. There is even snowshoeing which is always an experience that should be tried once!

Summer brings just as exciting adventures, with more than 1,600 miles of trails you better bring your comfortable shoes! You can take to the trails to enjoy the wildlife, or relax on the banks of the river and try your luck for some brook and rainbow trout. The crystal-clear Alpine lakes are calling your name!

Take your boat out and enjoy a few hours under the sun, or grab those bikes and go for a little ride through the trees! There is even horseback riding - we did tell you there was something for everyone!

Bitterroot National Forest has so many fun activities for the family, that we wouldn't blame you if you wanted to stay for more than a day - lucky your you there is camping and cabins that you can rent to really get to enjoy nature! 

Make sure you have your camera - you never know what amazing wildlife you will encounter!
