Whether you’re looking to see some amazing local and national, contemporary artists or want to engage in a fun, family activity, or perhaps searching for classes for the little ones, the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood has a variety of options for the whole family.The Center is the third oldest arts non-profit in Broward County, and we present contemporary art exhibitions, live stage performances, and award-winning education programs in the visual and performing arts at three unique facilities in downtown Hollywood.Join us for free admission to the galleries and an interactive art-making activity at the Center's monthly& Free Arts! Family Day. Presented on the&Sunday of every month, Free Arts! engages visitors of all ages in a theme-based, art-making activity that encourages creativity and collaboration among families and friends in a safe environmentThe Center also offers year-round instruction in the visual and performing arts for youth of all backgrounds and ability levels, both in-person and virtually. Through nine unique programs presented in three locations, the Center provides arts experiences that inspire the creativity in children and nurture their engagement in the arts.
This summer check out our Summer Arts Camp, which offers visual and performing arts for children ages 4-18. Our Broadway Actors program (ages 8-18) gives students deep dives into various aspects of the performing arts, such as acting, voice, movement, improvisation, and costume and set design. Each day will be devoted to working in small groups with professional artists and experts in their fields to gain skills and experience in many of the components that go into putting on a show.Please note, during these challenging times we will follow guidelines limiting capacity, adhering to social distancing guidelines and increasing our cleaning and sanitation. We also encourage all guests to use the hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the Center and; practice frequent hand-washing. For the safety of visitors and staff, requires all visitors over the age of 2 wear masks upon entering, well as while at the Art and Culture Center.
