Polkemmet Country Park

Polkemmet Country Park is a popular 68 hectare visitor attraction near Whitburn. It offers beautiful woodlands, riverside walks, play areas and plenty of seating for the whole family to enjoy. 

Start your visit at the visitor centre within the old stable as it provides a wealth of information about the area, advice, snacks, refreshments and a point of access to the Scottish Owl Centre. They also will handle any bookings for golf too. 

The park has been recognised as a great place to visit and have received a three star visitor attractions award. Within the park, you'll find the scottish owl centre, and has the largest collection of owls in the world. You can get hands on meet the owls face-to-face and even watch one of the spectacular flying displays. 

At the park there is a miners play area, with a sand pit, castle, nets and swings as well as nature inspired seats and art too. There's also lots of cycling and walking routes of varying difficulty that will take you through the stunning park and scenery.
