About Living Arts Centre Mississauga

The Living Arts Centre operates the premiere arts, culture, and entertainment facility in the heart of Mississauga. A dynamic and accessible gathering place for creativity, the LAC welcomes more than 400,000 discerning and culturally diverse visitors annually. The LAC is dedicated to being a place for global engagement in the arts, and holds three presentation-ready theatres, seven professional craft studios, and a beautiful in-house restaurant!

Get Together, Get Creative!

The LAC offers Winter, March Break, and Summer Camp programs for ages 5-14. Introduce your children to new art forms, or hone their creativity further! Visual and performing arts courses and workshops for ages 2.5 and up are also offered throughout the year, including courses and workshops for parents and children to enjoy together and bond! All camps, courses, and workshops are taught by practicing artist-educators in professional studios! Students are introduced to a wide variety of art techniques and materials, as well as performing art forms, such as painting, drawing, sculpting, collaging, drama, dance, music and more!

In addition to arts education, the LAC offers tons of entertainment for families! Check out the Wiggle Club series online, a selection of live performances that are perfect for parents and children to experience together! Music, dance, comedy, magic, and imagination await!

Make sure you head over to the LAC on Canada Day and Family Day – the Centre hosts FREE family programming all day! Enjoy musical and cultural performances, arts and crafts activities, games, art demonstrations, gallery exhibitions, film screenings, and plenty more!

ARTward Bound is the LAC’s community art initiative; throughout the summer (July-August), LAC’s outreach team brings FREE arts and crafts to every single ward in Mississauga.

Purchase unique, hand-made gifts at the LAC Gift Shop! All pieces are made by the LAC’s Resident Artists, and make for wonderful decorations and gifts.
