Morton National Park is nature on a grand scale! How does exploring the forests until you find the stunning cascading Fitzroy Falls sound? You never know what you might find on the way! Perhaps you want to make your way up to the top of Pigeon House Mountain Didthul? You won't believe the views from the top - make sure you bring your camera!
The park is enormous, so really does have something for everyone! If you are an experienced bushwalker searching out that remote wilderness hiking trails, or a first time mountain biker after that easy ride - it's all there!
Photographers you will be in your element here. Everywhere you look there will be something you want to capture on camera!
Have you ever seen a gorge completely dissect the landscape next to pockets of rainforest teeming with wildlife? When you get there, just stand for a few minutes and take it in. What can you spot? If you stay really still, you never know what might pop it's head out!
If you want to take a break or have a relaxing family picnic, there are a number of picnic areas, as well as more informal spots for you to take a break and just enjoy the view.
It's such a big park, that a lot of families opt to spend a few days, so if you want to camp just head to Gambells Rest campground in the Bundanoon precinct of the park. Set up camp and just enjoy the fact you will get to do it all again the next day!
The visitor centre is the best starting point for your trip.
