Koalas couldn't be more iconic to Australia unless you put kangaroos in the Sydney Opera House next to Ayers Rock.
These sweet gentles creatures are well known, but not that commonly seen hiding in the tree tops. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary started nearly 100 years ago with only 2 koalas. Now they have over 130 of these sweet little creatures as well as a host of other Australian wildlife that we all know and love.
Does the name sound familiar? Well if you are a fan of the Guinness Book of World Records, you might see Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in there are the first and largest koala sanctuary in the WORLD! That's pretty impressive!
You can cuddle a koala anytime you like, and hand feed those bouncy kangaroos. You might be the first kid in your class to hand feed a kangaroo! If you want to feed the lorikeets, you might find they quickly become your friends, or try and spot those little platypus too!
Kids will love getting up close to a number of different Australian animals in a beautiful and natural setting.
The park is very family friends, and of course very safety conscious. Not only do they want to make sure that the kids and families who visit are safe, but also the animals.
Keep an eye out for the times of the shows too - from the Sheep Dog Show to Bird of Prey free flight show! There are snake presentations and barn animals encounters to really make you day animal-tastic!

If you want to REALLY walk on the wild side, you can join one of the VIP tours where for 45 minutes you can participate in small groups with hands-on experiences.
Fancy actually working as a zoo keeper?! Kids and teens can join special programs where they can a sneaky behind the scenes tours, escort dingoes on walks, get close to snakes, pretend to be a tree for a fluffy owl or koala, and even get those hands dirty by cleaning out the enclosures!
