It's all about the nation's favourite sport on this family day out - because we're off to the International Cricket Hall of Fame! The museum was built in honour of Sir Donald Bradman, and celebrates the achievements of the sport as a whole, with it's timeline set against world history's for some interesting perspectives.
Inside the Hall of Fame, kids can experience cutting edge technology, and fun interactive touch screens, that will allow them to really learn everything about this great sport - from the history, to players today.
Have you ever wondered WHY cricket is so popular will millions of people today? Well, there's no better place to find out!
The modern galleries within the Hall of Fame chart the history of the game from inception, early versions of how it used to be played (did you know it wasn't always the game you know today!?) through the historical significance AND how recent technological additions have changed the way we play - scoring comes to mind, for one!
In the Kids' Backyard children can try on mini cricket gear and have a crack at the stumps themselves! After all, they will likely be inspired to one day get their face up on the Cricket Hall of Fame, and they need to start somewhere!
A great, inspirational, learning and sporty day out in Bowral, just south of Sydney.
So let's get going!
