Beautiful sea life, thrilling rides, animals attractions and lots of family entertainment? It must be SeaWorld Adventure Park!

This HUGE adventure park in San Antonio gives you a splashing great time with the family as you explore all the different thrills, excitement and attractions this park has to offer.

Why don't we start with the thrills? You see quite...brave! Do you dare challenge yourself to the 360 degree Great Whale, where at times you might even turn completely upside down?

Or perhaps you will take on the 15 story plunges of the Steel Eel...it looks like a Loch Ness monster lurking underneath the ground!  That is, if the depths of Journey to Atlantis haven't scared you, with it's half water have coaster thrills!

But SeaWorld Adventure Park is of course, filled with beautiful sea creatures that you can get right up close to, and learn all about them! Have you ever come face to face with a shark? Or seen a whole group of Alligators forming right underneath your feet? Perhaps it's the Penguin Encounter that you love, as those loveable creatures all waddle together - maybe if you wave they might wave back!

SeaWorld Adventure Park are all about the mammals though, and they are the most impressive for the kids to see in person. From those stunning killer whales, to the whites of the beluga whales, to dolphins and sea lions, the ocean has come alive right in front of your very eyes!

Don't forget about all those amazing shows that SeaWorld put on - including Killer Whales Up Close and a colorful dolphin show!

This is one of those gems that's often neglected because of the biggies like Disney World and Universal, but according to me, Sea World is a must-do! They have a little something for everybody not just children. Here are the must-dos in the park:

    1. Shamu show: This killer whale show is world famous and obviously a must-do. More of than not, people come all the way to Seaworld just for this! If you don't mind getting wet, occupy the front few seats in the soak zone. Grab the ones in the middle since they have the best view.

    2. Dolphin show:...Read More

Visited August 16 with 3 yr old grndson, daughter and husband. 4 hours into the visit slipped and fell on something on the ground and broke my arm. EVERYONE BE AWARE, seaworld does NOT care about their guest...Its a sad state when a Major Corporation cant even follow up with a injured guest on their property. I am not seeking a million dollars, just a concern and out of pocket expenses for their negligance. BE AWARE EVERYONE. They obviously care less about humans than they do about the animals.

Seaworld Orlando makes me sick after watching Blackfish; I cannot believe any compassionate human being on this Planet Earth would waste they're money or time to support an animal breeding ground for complete and utter cruelty to such beautiful animals. Watch Blackfish! Anyone who reads this review watch Blackfish and FREE TILLY!!!!!

Best park in Central Florida! It's unfortunate that corporate greed led to the bans prohibiting the trainers from performing IN the water with the animals now. Those were always amazing shows. As a result, the shows are still super awesome, but not nearly as amazing as they were in the 90's and early 00's. The rides and roller coasters are all awesome, too, and I love eating at the Spice Mill. I hold passes to all theme parks in and near Central Florida, and this is by far the one I go to the most often. There are almost never crowding problems...Read More

2. Dolphin show: This one's not as good as Shamu's but seeing such intelligent, gentle creatures perform tricks with their mentor is a delight. So, don't miss this one either.

3. Pet Ahoy: A set of rescued, trained pets perform an act on-stage that is guaranteed to entertain you. If you think potty training your pet at home was a herculean task, you'll be surprised to see how this assorted mix of animals and birds come together to perform!

4. Sting Ray feeding: Yes, you heard it right! Not only do you get to feed them, you also get to touch them and let them touch you! All for $5. There's also a shark + seal + sting ray feeding combo for $10 which is a better deal. You don't get to touch the seals or the sharks like with the sting rays though.

5. Dolphin cove: You get to touch and feed dolphins (without getting into water though). If you want the experience of swimming with dolphins, there's another park(outside seaworld) called Discovery Cove that needs advance booking. Feeding dolphins is only once per day from what I know, so check the timings ahead of time.

6. Manta: OMG! This was THE best ride we tried in whole of Orlando, Disney World + Universal + SeaWorld put together! It's one of their newest rides where your seats go horizontal at the start of the ride and you swim(rather fly) like a manta(sting ray)! Believe me, don't get out of the park without trying this one!

7. Antarctica: The ride itself is rather kiddish, but the perk here is that you get to see penguins at the end of the ride from a close distance.

Other tips:
* Each of the show has specific timings. Make sure to
plan your day at the beginning. Some of the shows are only once a day, make a note of them.

* Get a combo deal for feeding sharks + seals + sting rays. It's cheaper than buying them individually.

* Carry a poncho if you plan on sitting in the soak-zone for the killer whale and dolphin shows. Ponchos come in handy in some of the wet rides too.

There are almost never crowding problems or long lines, and the shows are always great fun. Like every other theme park or dinner show in central Florida, though, if you want to see the best shows, go on a busier day, as the slow days (Sundays) seem to be when they bring out the new animals who are still learning how to do tricks (like the cat who stopped to rub himself on a pole for 2 full minutes before he did his stunt, and the adorable sea otter who kept forgetting to pull his sled).

If their higher up execs weren't so dumb, they'd stop appealing the bans with nonsensical comparisons to NASCAR and start acknowledging that the whale attacks in history were provoked by acts of corporate greed (separating families, putting whales together that don't get along, not providing enough treats to reward the whales sufficiently throughout a full show so they get upset, etc.), and offer up steps they will take to prevent those things from happening (and point out that the bans only protect the trainers, not the animals). Then maybe we could see some of the great water-work shows and happier whales again!
