Boring, needs a revamp. The whole place looks, smells and feels very dated. They have moved things around a little bit in the past couple of years but need to do more. Also, every time I have been there it feels like they need to turn down the heat about 10 degrees.

My son adored the museum. I was pleased they offered things for the younger children as well as the elementary age kids.

Old, run down. Staff rude and not helpful. Been going to this museum since I was a kid and it''s nothing like it used to be. Was there recently for a birthday party. 225.00. Party punch ? Try watered down kool aid. Party attendant ? Barely spoke at all. Then they announced they would be doing an experiment in the lab. By the time could walk over there they had started with 2 kids and acted VERY annoyed when we asked to participate. They had a very good traveling exhibit. The kids loved the river, the car, the Cessna 150, the tractor, the fish, the snake, the coal mine (complete with a slide), the shadow photo box, the bank, the music room, the playground, the stage (including costumes), the ark, and just about everything else. The staff provided an interactive experiment on aerodynamics that the kids loved.

The coal mine and playground were especially good for our active little ones.

This is the best children's museum we have been to. Well worth the admission price.

By the time could walk over there they had started with 2 kids and acted VERY annoyed when we asked to participate. Bubble feature-- the bubble solution had dried up into a teeny pool in the middle of the bubble tables and there were all of TWO bubble wands. At the bank feature there was no fake money to play with other than about 10 fake 100's and the atm didn't work, the bank drawer didn't even open/close properly. the remote control hand attraction did not work properly. the cash registers in the pretend grocery store didn't work at all. this place is going down hill fast and the employees need to have a heart for kids and maybe walk around explaining some of the exhibits and getting the kids more involved. It was like a ghost town.
