Where are we going today?

The Hall of Flame Fire Museum and the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has almost an acre of fire history exhibits, with over 90 fully restored pieces of fire apparatus on display, dating from 1725 to 1969. Most of the exhibits are American, but we also have pieces from England, France, Austria, Germany, and Japan. The Hall of Flame sponsors the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, which honors firefighters who have died in the line of duty or who have been decorated for heroism.

The building from the outside does not look like much but I assure you that you will not be disappointed. The entry fee was a bit steep but there are buildings upon buildings of fire trucks. I was impressed with their collection and enjoyed the 9-11 gallery. I got some great pictures. Stop and take a selfie with Smokey the Bear.

Fantastic! All though it is mostly East Coast equipment, it is a must for every firefighter or buff. Your are looking at history with the apparatus that was on scene for some of the biggest fires in the US. I will the museum visit again on my next trip to Phoenix!!

The actual museum and tour was exceptional and the kids had a really good time but the people out front were less than friendly and when brought to their attention, did not really care. Oh well, for what we paid, it was well worth the money and I'd rather get a good bargain than overpay for great service. I would only recommend doing this with a tour otherwise it might be boring.

Terrific museum! Your kids (big and small) will enjoy all this museum has to offer! There are many, many fire vehicles from all eras. It is funny how you can drive past something so often and not realize how really cool it is on the inside. If you are looking for something different to do someday, try this place.

for an adult. this is a great place to visit to see all sorts of fire trucks. for a kid? not so much. basically all pretty much behind ropes sort of stuff. no audio, interactive stuff. they do have a small kids area where kids can dress up and hop on one fire truck. but something like a simulator, or fireman challenge, movie? there are tons of ways this place could pick up a lot more business and make a much more interactive experience.
