    We have been here twice before (in 2013) and things went pretty smoothly both times staying in the hotel and the water park. This time it was a completely different story. We only came for the water park and half of the stuff was closed (the pool with basketball hoops and the lily pads, the lazy river, all the slides that don’t require a tube not in the kiddie area, and the green tube slide). The water was freezing!!!!! Especially in the kiddie area where they allow everyone to open the doors to go out and smoke which might be contributing to it. I asked a lifeguard about the temp. as we have been here before and it was never an issue. She claimed they were having trouble with their heating system. It was so cold that our children’s lips were blue and we only ended up staying for a few hours. We arrived at 12pm and they didn’t open up the lazy river until after 2pm and one slide. Then they finally opened the other pool around 2:30. Honestly, I couldn’t figure out why they weren’t open. The only thing I can speculate on is that they were short staffed as everything was in working order. The locker rooms are a whole story of their own. Dirty, toilets not flushing, no toilet paper, and neither swimsuit dryer worked (in either the men’s or the women’s locker room). My husband reported no toilet paper in the men’s locker room for hours and that it was extremely small-2 toilets and 2 urinals. This was definitely our last trip to Fort Rapids.

    I didn’t stay in the hotel. I went there for a day pass. My company gave us a significant discount. I had read the prior reviews and went anyway. I was annoyed when I got there it was horribly crowded and there were not any lockers left. I looked at the life guards and thought great a bunch of young punks. My kids will not be safe. I was wrong. The life guards are AWESOME. They are young responsible adults who took there jobs very serious. They constantly paced and had their eyes on the water. The immediately stopped any rough housing. They were in constant communication with hand signals. They always had their whistle in their mouth, life preserver in hand and face mask readily available. They were helpful, respectful and smiled when they spoke to you. Yes I had to wait a long time for food and it was crowded, but above all my family and I were safe at all times. BTW the water and atmosphere is warm. I will go back.

    Arrived on 6-12-14 to register, used price line and found out my 236 dollar room does not include passes to the water park. Staff allowed me to pay 15 dollars each ticket, for our one night stay. Staff seems friendly however they are perfectly content to let you stand at the registration desk while they carry on their conversations. It appears their conversations are far more important than a customer standing waiting. I would recommend they do this at some other place besides the front desk. Arcade token machine was broken as well and the staff told me they could not fix it, like I should have know that.Bathrooms are pretty old but clean. Massive caulking, loose TP dispenser. Assuming this resort is past its prime and is struggling with cash flow??

    IF i could give it less than one I would. These are the rudest people I have ever encountered. I’ve visited this facility many times but refuse to ever sit foot there again. I tried to contact customer service to reschedule a vacation 5 days in advance due to child being in hospital. The first call, I was transferred twice and waited 17 minutes without any help. Called back, told them the issue and I needed to cancel and they transferred me to a manager’s office where again there was no answer. By the fifth call I made in the hospital lobby, I was pissed and the bit*h hung up on me. I finally got the reservations CANCELLED after paying for 1/2 the stay! NEVER again! They’ve go my last dime, hope they choke on it!

    We had a GREAT time! The rooms were clean and the waterpark was well maintained. The life guards were serious about what they are doing! I found there to be a ton of staff and all of the young staff had mature supervisors close at hand.Our room was a perfect size with lots of space. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and blow dryer. Full sized iron and ironing board, but I wasn’t touching those while on vacation. The only thing that I would like to see an improvement on is the food services. If you love buffets theirs is awesome, but if you don’t then your choices are limited. Overall we had an incredible stay and were very surprised by how great the staff was and how clean the room was.
