Directions

Take exit 109 towards downtown Augusta.This will put you on Western Ave. At the 4th light go right onto Armory Road, bear left at curve. You will pass Maine State Credit Union on the right and a Shell station on the left. Bear left after the Shell Station, a CVS will be on you right, go up the hill until you see Harvest Time Natural Foods. We are in the same building.

Where are we going today?

The mission of the Children's Discovery Museum is to create for all visitors an interactive environment in which multi-sensory, self directed, open-ended learning experiences prove the motivation to develop knowledge of and respect for self, others, the environment and the world.

Roleplay environments include restaurant, grocery store and bank; plus a living oceanic touch tank; music and theatre areas; construction zone and art studio.

They also offer weekly programmes, summer camps and special events.

    The exibits appealed to my 5 yr old brother and me! The building lookd just like new. The staff were helpful and nice.

    My son loves this place. The fire truck and the ambulance are big hits. The temporary exhibits have been great thus far. We bought an annual membership so we can go as often as we like. The staff at the cafeteria are very friendly.

    This is a perfect place for teaching science in a fun way. My kids love it (and as a professional scientists so do I).

    one of the awesome and fun learning experience for kids. my kids love it and they like all the venues. i would recommend to any parents to take their kids to this place once in life time.
