Where are we going today?
Children's Day Art Park is a fantastic day out over the months of June and July at the Symphony Square Amphitheater, where kids and families can experience the magic of the arts.
As part of the Austin Symphony, various entertaining and captivating events are held across summer where kids can just immerse themselves in the arts, as well as get active and play out in the parks!
The programs offer a host of entertainment and activities for all ages. Kid can enjoy music from local musicians, or get inspired by the movements of the dancers.
How did he do that!? If you happen to see those quick magicians then you will be asking that exact question! There are fun mimes, and creative crafts people.
There is even a petting zoo! But...hang on...where are the sheep, and the ducks, and the cows? Oh, we know why - it's an INSTRUMENT petting zoo! Kids can get up close to different kinds of instruments, have a touch and have a play on them, to see what it sounds like. They might even be encouraged to pick up an instrument of their own!
They can talk to the symphony musicians, and hear them play right in front of them! They can enjoy a Latin jazz band, try their creative hands at various art projects at the Art Tent, or follow a real Pied Piper to the Magic Oak Tree! We wonder what's there!
So get out and take in the vibrant Austin air, and immerse kids in the wonderful world of the arts!
How much does it cost?

Ok this is not a real review in that they were closed for renovation when I went(with no website warning) but stars for such pretty grounds..and well because I'm not the type to rag like a yelper. Beautiful grounds.

This place is the jewel in the crown. Among the whispering pines, music, art, and creative writing classes support the best values in human life. And they are affordable. This is a very special place and its preservation is of the highest priority.
