Where are we going today?

Did you know that the New Orleans City Park is over 150 years old? Did you also know that the park is a whopping 1,300 acres!? Did you also know that the park has a super fun family amusement park that is over a century old!?

Yep! Carousel Gardens Amusement Park is fun for all ages, and is part of one of the largest urban parks in the entire US.

Carousel Gardens Amusement Park opened way back in 1906, and since then there has been a LOT of happy memories created!

The main attraction is the iconic carousel. Often called "The Flying Horses" by the locals, the carousel is actually the OLDEST ride too! The amusement park might date back from 1906, but some of the animal figures actually date back to 1885! How amazing is that!? The animals were all carved by hand and painted by hand...and are still looked after to this day because they are loved so much. A true classic!

Of course, there are LOTS of other fun rides at the Carousel Gardens for you to enjoy! The Red Baron can find your inner pilot in you, and the tilt-a-whirl can really put you in a SPIN!

The Ferris Wheel is always popular, and the Ladybug Roller Coaster is great for those wanting something a little more thrilling!

From Bumper Cars, the very fun named Wacky Shack and the Fun Slide, to the Rockin' Tug and Coney Tower, just to name a few, there is plenty for the family to enjoy at this ever popular New Orleans amusement park!

Let's create more happy memories to join those from the last 100 will become part of history!

Great place to get your flowers and to take the little ones. Between the carousal, train and ice cream stand the kids are covered.
