Where are we going today?
Love nature? Love to play? Then what better place to visit than the Carolina Children's Gardens that were created to inspire creative play in kids!
This all-outdoor facility is 2 acres of themed gardens, perfect for those little ones to explore, get out into nature, learn, create, and play!
With 12 themed gardens in total, kids can play, explore, and learn all in a natural environment filled with birds and butterflies. Not only that, they might run into their favorite storybook characters too - like Winnie The Pooh and Peter Rabbit!
The Carolina Children's Garden wanted a place where families can relax, and connect with each other and nature. There are always fun events happening in the gardens, form scavenger hunts, to bird walks, and even picnicking!
And best of all - it's FREE admission! So no matter what your budget you can enjoy this amazing place in South Carolina.

Field trips are available to students in all grade levels and will be customized to suit your students’ needs and your grade-level academic standards..
It's best to bring bottled water and a picnic lunch. There are plenty of places to enjoy it!.
Make sure you have healthy snacks too, as there is a lot of fun to be had and their energy needs to be kept up!.
Any Top Tips?
Hand sanitizer is recommended, as there are two port-a-johns on site as the entire place it outdoors.
Doing our bit
The area is a nature preserve, so they have a lot of wildlife to protect. Follow any regulations they have set out as this is to protect the nature around you.
Need a little extra help?
The ground is grassy and gently sloping. One port-a-john is wheelchair accessible. It's worth noting there are no paved surfaces in the garden..
Pets are permitted but they must be kept on a leash.
