This place is just awesome. I really didn't know what to expect after i found their website. The ranch is very well maintained and the horses are very very well taken care of. The scenery is just breathtaking, i went through an entire camera battery taking so many pictures. The guide reminded me of Curly in the movie city slickers and was nothing more than just an old cowboy full of stories along our way to the old mine. I can't wait to go back, this is a little slice of heaven.

My husband and I honeymooned in Hot Springs, and went on a trail ride here. It was great. "Wild Bill, and Ronnie were so much fun as they led us around the mountain with our horses. We did a 2 hour ride and was well worth the money. The views are amazing!!! Couldn't have asked for a better day!!!

Three hour ride is actually two hours riding, one hour at the garnet-mica-talc schist outcrop (what they call a mine) which is good if you want to take a longer lunch. If you want a shorter trip but want to see the outcrop/ mine, the two hour ride also stops at the outcrop/ mine for 15 minutes.

This was a truly enjoyable experience. The folks at Sandy Bottom were great. They were friendly and very accommodating for my 4 year old to ride in the front of my saddle. Our ride was comfortable and very safe. The trail up into the mountains was fun and scenery was gourgeous. Highly recommended.
