We had a wonderful time there. They had free wheel chairs available for my mom that doesn’t walk very well. Make sure to have a lot of time to experience the museum. I way underestimate this place and we didn’t get to see much in 2 hours because it’s so huge. Food in the cafe was great, and the cooks were wiling to accommodate my kids picky appetite with stuff that wasn’t on the menu.We will definitely be back!

I was in Phoenix on a family vacation. We drove with my sisters family from Phoenix down to the Desert Museum and it was a tremendous experience. We will make a point to return any time we’re in Arizona. Not only were the museum and its exhibits fantastic but the staff and amenities exceeded my expectations. I was fully prepared to be gouged on drinks and sunscreen. To my delight, there were free sunscreen dispensers in the restrooms. The soft drinks in the cafe had free refills and there were water fountains available. The kids started out disappointed to be going to a museum but ended up loving it.

Fascinating place to visit. Didn’t like that the animals and critters were in such small and confining displays. Junky overpriced gift shops, as well as the snack shop.. $4 for a small Gatorade..?? Get real..

Great destination for tourists and locals. Lots of entertaining shows and animal interactions. Great for families. Be sure not to miss the humming bird house. Special discounts and events for members. Recommendations: arrive early to take advantage of all the museum has to offer.

We really enjoyed taking our family here. The raptor show was amazing. Clean. Volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of water stations and restrooms. Many animals to see as well as informative information about the area.
