About Kids Discovery Museum
Hey there, young explorers! How about a museum visit that's all about fun and learning through play? Welcome to the Kids Discovery Museum on Bainbridge Island, affectionately known as KiDiMu. This is not your typical museum where you have to whisper and look but not touch. Here, it's all about interactive play, where kids can touch, explore, laugh, and learn!
At KiDiMu, exhibits are designed with kids in mind, encouraging sensory exploration and creativity. Let's start our journey in Our Town, where kids can stroll down their very own main street. It's a bustling town just for kids! They can hop into an electric car or go shopping in the grocery store. Those with a knack for building can head to the construction zone, while little doctors can perform check-ups at the medical center. Here, kids can be whoever they want to be!
For the little ones, there's Totally TOT! This vibrant space is filled with engaging books, bright colors, and fun toys, all on padded flooring for safe play. It's a space where they can crawl, play, and explore at their own pace.
And for the adventurous, there's a pirate tree house waiting to be explored. Young swashbucklers can dress up, climb, and get a bird's eye view of the museum. It's a special 'no parents land,' just for kids to let their imaginations run wild!
With science, reading, and arts and crafts rounding out the experience, it's no wonder KiDiMu is a favorite in Washington State. Ready to explore, learn, and have fun? Let's get creative at the Kids Discovery Museum!
