Who loves art! If you do, and love learning about it, looking at it, studying it and getting inspired by it, then why not make a trip to the Weisman Art Museum where you can be surrounded by a fresh and engaging art experience.
There are always permanent collections that you can keep going back to enjoy. From ceramics, American Modernism...even Korean Furniture!
There are also fascinating temporary exhibitions that you can enjoy, that ensure there is always something new to see every time to go back to visit.
The building itself if a work of art - have a look at all the curves and corners of the striking stainless steel and brick.
There are free public tours offered every Saturday and Sunday at 1pm, and will cover topics related to a particular exhibition or artist, so you can really immerse yourself in the history and culture of the art.
On the last Sunday of every month, you can join the lovely WAM volunteers who will provide you with interactive tours and fun, creative art-making activities. You can have a look around the museum, discuss art with other guides and then get creative!
For teens interested in design and buildings, or perhaps fancy making a career as an architect, they occasional hold week long workshops where you can completely surround yourself with professional architects, engineers, creative minds and designers. No design experience is necessary - just go along if you have a passion!
With everything going on, they really try and make sure that there is something new for families to do and see every visit.
