About this activity

Back in time....

The Warhawk Air Museum is an important link for the youth of today and the youth of the past.  The museum aims to teach children of today what those in history have done to secure the freedoms we now know.

The exhibits cover the history on the security of the home front, the chaos of the war front, and the aviation history that brought society into not only the flying age but the space age.

Kids will love, learn and benefit from the fascinating historical memorabilia and personal memories preserved within the museum, leaving them with some invaluable lessons.

For those budding aviators, there are a great collection of vintage planes they can get up close and personal with, from the toy like “Blue Max” to the intimidating MiG 21.

Every so often the museum holds special events such as flying days where you can get out and see planes in action for yourself, or Q&A sessions involving guest speakers where you can participate with key aviation figures, including some involved with Apollo 13!

Warhawk Air Museum is 40,000 square feet of invaluable history to be seen, which will teach lessons that can never be taught in the classroom.

Warhawk Air Museum FAQ’s

Unfortunately there isn’t any food available at the museum so ensure you eat before you arrive.

Make sure you allow at least two hours for a museum visit to ensure you see everything there is! Also, if you call in advance of your visit, you could arrange a tour with one of their staff members who will give you that bit more information....

T-shirts, mugs, posters, and stickers are just some of the items available in their gift shop, so make sure you factor in time to look around!

There are several educational programs which teachers can participate in. These are offered to students from pre-school all the way to 12th grade. Every student will come away with a new appreciation for their country and culture, and what men and women of the past went through to secure the freedom they have today. An invaluable education.

There is handicap access into the museum. If you need extra help when you arrive just see a member of staff.
